Bernoulli principle laboratory

Watch fluid accelerate through a constriction while static pressure falls, then compare pressure, velocity and energy along the pipe.

WHAT TO NOTICE

Faster flow, lower static pressure

Continuity requires the same volume flow through every section, so fluid speeds up where the pipe narrows. In ideal steady flow, the accompanying rise in velocity head is balanced by a fall in static-pressure head.
