Learn by changing things
Instead of only reading an equation, adjust a parameter and immediately see how the system responds. Each laboratory combines animation, controls, measurements and concise scientific context.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Physics Lab is a growing collection of browser-based experiments created to make complex scientific ideas easier to explore.
Instead of only reading an equation, adjust a parameter and immediately see how the system responds. Each laboratory combines animation, controls, measurements and concise scientific context.
The collection uses static HTML, CSS and JavaScript. No account, installation or server-side application is required to run the experiments.
The laboratories range from classical mechanics and waves to thermodynamics, relativity, quantum physics and particle physics.
Simulations necessarily simplify reality. Model notes identify important assumptions, and the controls are designed to reveal the physical relationships being demonstrated.
